How is the Intermediate Program different from Junior High?
Heights designed the IP program to include what families love about an elementary model of education; the 5th and 6th graders have a multi-subject teacher in a self-contained classroom with recess time to play. Next, HCS combined that with what parents loved about the middle school model which includes moving students to the bigger campus so they can adjust to the environment, and they can benefit more from the specialized programs and teachers in areas such as athletic and performing arts. This combination allows IP students with the best of both worlds. They excel at this level, and look forward to moving to the JH side in the future.
