HCS owns and operates one junior high, one intermediate program, four elementary schools, six preschools, and two infant centers. Our campuses are located in Southern California in the cities of Brea, Chino Hills, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, San Juan Capistrano and Whittier. We hire multiple candidates for multiple positions within the district.
Individuals seeing a teaching position will have to apply to a posted opening for consideration. We do not post a separate posting for every vacancy due to the large number of positions we have. You may only see campus specific positions for hard to fill areas.

Once applicants receive an employment offer they must be fingerprinted prior to starting work. All employees must have a Department of Justice check using the LiveScan method to ensure the safety of students and all employees as prescribed by law.
LiveScan is the name used for fingerprinting. All new employees need to have a LiveScan.
Yes, we don’t share our fingerprinting results with any outside agency or accept results from other places.
The district has student teaching agreements with several local universities and welcomes the opportunity to provide this learning experience to students pursuing their teaching credential. Arrangements for student placement are made between the university and the HCS Campus. If you would like to do your student teaching with us, please make your desire known to the Campus Administrator.
