History of HCS

Family Resource Ministries, Inc. began in 1981 with the opening of an elementary school on the site of Brea-Olinda Friends Church in Brea, California. Mrs. Betty Kimes, who had served in both public and Christian schools, had been seeking God's will as she set out to devote her life to Christian education. That search matched a need felt by Pastor Bob Webster and the congregation at Brea-Olinda Friends Church, and Brea-Olinda Friends Christian School was formed. The school thrived and a preschool was added. Eventually, other preschools were added in nearby communities. As the preschool children grew older, the Lord provided opportunities to meet the needs of these growing families. We now have additional elementary schools and a junior high school where we continue to provide quality, Bible-based Christian worldview teaching to children.

FRM has grown into a system of nine schools, which includes five preschools, three elementary schools, and one junior high school. Our schools are highly regarded in the Christian school community for quality campuses and staff, Bible-based teaching and the promotion of Christian values. Currently, FRM schools serve over 2,000 children and their families in the communities of Brea, Chino Hills, La Habra Heights and La Mirada, California as well as the communities that surround them. FRM corporate offices are located in Yorba Linda, California. As God continues to bless our ministry, and as children and their families are brought closer to Him, FRM will continue to grow.
